Petition for Letters of Administration
The State of Alabama
Choctaw County To B. H. WARREN, Judge of Probate, for said county,
the petition of L. J. MOONEY respectfully represents that he is an inhabitant of
said state & county, and is upwards of twenty-one years of age, that Editha TIMS
departed this life intestate, on or about the 27th day of April 1877, more than
forty days since, leaving property in this state and county, to the best of
petitioner's information, knowledge, and belief, of about the value of nine hundred
dollars, and not probably more, that said Editha TIMS was an inhabitant of
this county at the time of her death, that the heirs and distributees of the estate
of said decedent, as your petitioner is advised and believes, are as follows, viz:
John TIMS, Nancy TIMS, Editha SMITH, a widowed daughter,
Sarah A. TIMS and Martha K. TIMS, all of full age & reside in this
county, Susan R. BYERS, of full age and resides in the State of Mississippi,
Sarah A. COKER and Rebecca FELTS, of full age and reside in the State
of Mississippi, Thos. TIMS, Virginia TIMS, Beauregard TIMS,
minors & reside in this county, Benjamin TIMS, Newton TIMS, Joseph
TIMS, and Charlotte TIMS, minors and reside in Clarke County, Mississippi,
that the heirs and distributees are desirous that your petitioner be appointed
Administrator upon said estate, in consideration of the premises, your petitioner
prays Your Honor, that such steps may be taken, and such orders and decrees made
as may be deemed necessary and proper to secure the appointment of your petitioner
to that trust, according to law, and upon his giving the requisite bond and security

Choctaw County Court of Probate
Letters of Administration, on the estate of Editha TIMS,
dec'd, are hereby granted to Lemuel J. MOONEY, who has duly qualified and
given bond as such Administrator, and is authorized to administer such estate,
dated this 19th day of October, A. D. 1877 B. H. WARREN
