J. W. CARR and Wife

These two aged people passed away recently. Only a few days lie between the dates of thie going. The husband died 29 Jan, the good wife followed 10 Feb. They were among the oldest citizens of Clarke Co. He was born 21 Jan 1833; she, 29 Jul 1840 (or 1848). They were married in 1963. Mrs. CARR was a sister of our good townsman, C. C. McNEILL and the last immediate member of the family. Mr. and Mrs. CARR were among the most highly esteemed citizens of the county. They lived at Increase, where they enjoyed the confidence and best wishes of everybody. They were both members of the Causeyville Baptist Church, and the funeral services of both were conducted by their pastor, Dr. R. A. Venable, Meridian.
