N. B. SCHRIMPSHIRE, aged Confederate veteran, died Sunday afternoon at 5:10. He was 87 years and 23 days old at the time of his death and was blind. He was born March 6th, 1838. The funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30, the Rev. Warren TIMS officiating. Interment was made in the Elim Church Cemetery. He is survived by five children, four daughters and one son, as follows: Mrs. Annie BURT, of Zero, Miss., near Meridian; Mesdames Genie BURT and Belle HARGER, of Meridian; Mrs. Emma WILLIAMS, of Laurel; and C. A. SCHRIMPSHIRE, of Route 2, Quitman. In addition, there are a great many other relatives and friends who mourn his death.
