Abb WILLIAMS, 103 year old Negro, Langsdale community, passed away 13 Jun at residence. In early life, he was a slave of the WINSTON family. Early Odell DIAMOND, 46, Quitman, died Tuesday, 3:30 AM, of injuries sustained in a truck accident near his home. Reports state Diamond, a WWII veteran, was returning to Quitman after attending classes at Stonewall; was a barber in Quitman. Near his home, he stepped off the truck on which he was riding before it came to a halt. His death followed injuries thus received. Funeral services held from Pleasant Grove Baptist church.
