Cullen Meadows COVINGTON, 58, Shubuta, Route 2, died January 6 at Watkins Memorial Hospital. Funeral services held January 7, 2 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Rev. W. L. MEADOWS officiating. Interment was in church cemetery. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Annie COVINGTON; two sons, T/Sgt Paul COVINGTON, Ardmore, OK; MSgt Harold COVINGTON, Iceland; sister, Mrs. J. E. GULLETTE, Chickasaw, AL; five brothers, E. COVINGTON, Lowety, FL; Will COVINGTON, Meridian; Wilson COVINGTON, Mobile; Ed COVINGTON, Lauderdale; Sim, Quitman; two grandchildren. Active pallbearers were J. E. Rhoden, W. W. Blair, S. S. Taylor, Cecil Brock, R. W. Tyler, Bob Major (sic - should be Majure). McClellan-Walters in charge.

George Robert HARRIS, 82, Crandall, Miss, Rt. 2, died at his residence 14 Mar, as a result of a heart attack; funeral services held 15 Mar, 2:30 PM, Pine Grove Church, Rev. C. W. Sheffield officiating; assisted by Rev. Chester Mason; interment in church cemtery; survivors include wife, Mrs. Emma HARRIS; daughter, Clara HARRIS, Crandall; son, Robert W. HARRIS, Crandall; two sisters - Mrs. Mary Jane MAYO, Crandall; Mrs. J. W. CHANCELLOR, Sr., Hattiesburg; two brothers - J. W. HARRIS and N. W. HARRIS, Crandall; active pallbearers were Luther Harris, Jim Chancellor, Albert Harris, Carol Mayo, Coley Harris, Mack D. Harris; Walters Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
