Earl Mundell DANIELS, 54, prominent Quitman resident, passed away Tuesday, 22 Jan, at
Rush Foundation Hospital. Funeral services held Thursday, 11 AM, First Baptist Church, Quitman,
with Rev. Ed North officiating. Interment followed in Quitman Cemetery. Had been employed with
Mississippi Power Co. the past 24 years in the Quitman area and for the past 13 years served as
manager of the Quitman office. Was commander of American Legion Post No. 30 and a member of
Terral Masonic Lodge No. 514 F&AM. Was a member of First Baptist Church and active in all civic
affairs. Survivors - wife, Mrs. Myra SCOTT DANIELS; one daughter, Miss Susan DANIELS,
Quitman; one son, Scotty DANIELS, Forest; mother, Mrs. Margaret DANIELS, Quitman;
two brothers, Fred and Carl DANIELS, both of Quitman; three sisters, Miss Corrie
DANIELS, Quitman; Mrs. Lillie GERALD, Buckner, MO; Mrs. Ruth McARTHUR, Columbia,
SC; two grandchildren. Pallbearers - Robert Smith, Bob Majure, Jimmy Sykes, Sporty Dabbs, Buddy
Barry, Harold Hutcherson. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Cal Hull Sunday School Class
and all employees of Mississippi Power Co.
