nurse. Went to Fairview School of Nursing, Minneapolis, MN, where she graduated in 1957 and was a charter
member of the Lutheran Hospital Auxiliary, Denver, CO. Died after a lengthy illness. Survivors - husband,
Bert BAMFORTH, Ashland, OR; two daughters, Cindy NORTON, Portland, OR; Terri NORTON,
Ashland, OR; father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Bill HURST, Quitman; mother and stepfather,
Mr. and Mrs. David (Ruth) ORTON, Minneapolis, MN; brother, Gregg ORTON, Corvallis, OR;
stepsons, Britt BAMFORTH and Brad BAMFORTH, Los Angeles, CA; uncle and aunt, Mr. and
Mrs. Leon LOPER, Quitman; cousin, Mack LOPER, Jackson; a number of stepbrothers and stepsisters,
Quitman. A memorial service held Tuesday evening, Rev. Nevitt Smith officiating. Cremains inurned at the
Columbarium, Scenis Hills Memorial Park. Memorial services held in Quitman, Wednesday night, 6:45 PM,
First Baptist Church, Rev. Rex Yancey officiating.

Funeral services for Lester HUFF, 67?, held 3 PM, Sunday, 3 Jan 1982, Forest Baptist Church. Rev.
Clyde Little officiated. Interment in Eastern Cemetery with Ott & Lee Funeral Home in charge of
arrangements. Passed away Friday night, Baptist Medical Center, following a short illness. Former
resident of Smith Co. Had lived at Rt. 1, Forest, for past 38 years. Was a cattle faamer. (Note: There
were several more sentences concerning his occupation and memberships in various organizations).
Survivors - wife, Mrs. Ethel HUFF, Forest; one brother, Ralph W. HUFF, Quitman; one sister,
Mrs. Leon (Nellon) CRAFT, Brookhaven; three nieces; two nephews. Pallbearers - nephews - Jim
OVERBY, Frank STUBBS, Tom McALPIN, Richard GATES, Bill HUFF, Joe DUCKWORTH. Honorary pallbearers were
all deacons of Forest Baptist Church.

other relatives. Funeral services held from chapel of Radney Funeral Home Monday, 28 Dec 1981, 1 PM.

former Red Cross volunteer. At time of death, working as a security field engineer at the Royal Embassy,
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in Kuwait City. Survivors - parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold M. DAVIS,
Alexandria, VA. Mother was the former Hermine BOOTH, of Enterprise.
